3 Steps To Powerfully Utilize This Winter Solstice For A Better 2018

Happy Winter Solstice! For people throughout the ages—from the ancient Egyptians, to the Celts and to the Hopi— the Winter Solstice has been a significant time of ritual, reflection, and renewal. Winter can become a time of healing and feeding the Spirit and nurturing the Soul. Creating a meaningful celebration of the winter solstice, in addition to other holiday activities, can help us cultivate a deeper connection to nature, family, God and the Universe, and all the things that matter the most to us.

The Winter Solstice is a powerful time to release all the things that aren’t serving us and that we no longer want to carry forward in our lives; and is a compelling time to do it right before we head into this new potent year, we are just about to move into. So I invite you to take this Winter Solstice day of December 21 to release whatever has been limiting you and to also set new intentions, for this upcoming New Year, that resonate with your Soul.

Below is a powerful and easy three step process to utilize the energies of this Winter Solstice to prepare for this major shift, that has just begun a couple of days ago, that I will share more about in my next post.

Step 1.  HAVE A FIRE RELEASING CEREMONY

Light a fire, or you can use a candle instead, and write down anything you wish to release onto small pieces of paper and toss them into your fire or hold them over the flame of your candle. As they burn in the flames, know that you are energetically releasing whatever it is that has been holding you back.

It’s important to complete this ceremony by inviting something new into your life, to replace what you have just let go of. It could be simply love, courage or openness to something better, so take another sheet of paper and write down all of the new characteristics and traits that are going to come into your life to support you in your goals and intentions for 2018. Once you are done writing these down, toss this list into the fire as well. Know that as it burns, you are releasing the intentions to Spirit, so that Spirits can help it manifest into your life in the highest and best possible way.

Step 2.   PROGRAM A CRYSTAL

Light a candle and start journaling on what are some of your goals and intentions are for this new upcoming year. What would you like to draw into your life in 2018? Then, select a crystal (you can choose one you own already or why not treat yourself to a new Solstice gift!) Raw stones are the best choice for absorbing our intentions. They are not always as pretty as polished tumble stones, but they are very receptive to being programmed.

Once you are clear on what you want to create and manifest into your life, see and feel that being so in your mind’s eye and set the intention of it being so into your crystal. When you are done, you will carry this programmed crystal with you as a talisman for the next quarter-year.

A word of warning, be careful – these intentional crystals are very powerful, and unless you remember to de-program your crystal, it will keep on calling in what you’ve asked for indefinitely. So either program it with something you want to experience long term or remember to clear it with salt water, or by laying it out underneath the next full moon, when your intention in complete.

Step 3.    ASK FOR A POWER-DREAM

As you drift off into the longest, darkest night of the year, invite in the visions that will light your way through this next turn of the yearly wheel. Ask your Higher Self, Guides or Angels to visit you in the dream world, and show you what you most need to see. Be sure to keep a pen and some paper by your bedside, to write down what you recall upon waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning.

Have a powerful Winter Solstice Ritual and we continue to prepare ourselves in my next post for this very potent New Year!
